this painting was created for a casino that once existed on the biloxy gulf coast. but was blown away by hurricane katrina. actual it should be called you gatta know when to fold'em. but anyway the ceo's gave me hell about not wanting to give up the original piece.

this is absolutely awesome. i have that carpet painting thing of dogs playing poker so it reminds me of that. it rocks.

LOL Very cool work.

Seriously.

Just a few technical things:

The dog doesn't seem to be connected to the floor, thus you could add more shadow under / around him.
The table's foot doesn't look connected to the floor either, but Ii think drawing the floor stripes closer to it would help.

Yup, the dog is missing an important casted shadow under him, i guess you forgot this since most of the rest of the things in there have them ok.

But very nice composition! if i have to paint something like that id need a third life to finish it.

Yep agree with jane. This si really nice. Its great to see painted painting sometimes. I knew you did this the "analog" way as soon as I saw it. I like the character design and the composition. Very nice
